Bahrain Grand Prix

The Bahrain Grand Prix is a formula One Championship race and when Bahrain hosted its first Grand Prix in the year 2004, and it became the first Middle Eastern country to do so. Bahrain has just one circuit, the Bahrain International circuit, which was specially designed by Hermann Tilke. This circuit has the distinction of being awarded the FIA Institute Centre of Excellence Award, which is awarded for achieving the highest standards of technology for safety, marshalling, and medical facilities.

The Bahrain Grand Prix which was sponsored by Gulf Air became famous as the first Formula One Grand Prix to be held in the Middle East. Bahrain could manage to fight off fierce competition from other competitors and staged the race. The buildings of the Bahrain International Circuit are located in Sakhir. The construction soon overtook the Kuwait Circuit in terms of quality and design. It soon became the center of motor sport in the Persian Gulf. Other races such as drag races, GT races, Formula 3 races, and the Australian V8 Supercar series races are held here.

The Bahrain International Circuit is said to be one of the finest and safest circuits in the world.
